Did you know?

As we travel from one Major League Baseball stadium to the next, we are really enjoying how each stadium is completely different and has its own character, history, and architecture. Here are a few of the unusual facts about Miller Park that we found especially interesting.

Facts Unique to
Miller Park

Field Dimensions

  • The field dimensions, designed with the input of Hall of Famer and Brewers legend Robin Yount, are unique and asymmetrical. Yount said he designed the field to play to what he considers the most exciting play in baseball — a runner trying to stretch a single into a double or a double into a triple

Stats

  • Capacity: 41,900 fans
  • Mascot:
    Bernie Brewer
  • Stadium opened April 6, 2001

Bob Uecker “Last Row” Statue

This statue in “The Last Row” honors Brewers legend Bob Uecker and the long-running Miller Lite “All-Stars” ad campaign that featured Uecker uttering his famous tagline, “I must be in the front row.” The statue sits atop the Uecker Seats in Miller Park’s Terrace Level (Section 422) and features an open seat next to it, allowing for a perfect photo opportunity. Photos and access to the statue are available during pregame only.

Our Reflections on the Game

Advice and reflections from the Glanville Team

Thoughts from James

The slide in outfield is cool. Miller Park reminds me a little bit of Seattle Safeco, with the architecture and the retractable roof. We sat behind the visitors dugout which I highly recommend because you can see the players close up and they hand you game balls! I got 3!!!James

Christie’s Thoughts

Of all 30 baseball parks this was the only one where we found a dedicated kid’s food court. They sold all kinds of kid-friendly foods and snacks in appropriately sized amounts. Organic chicken strips with carrots and celery, apple slices with string cheese, and pretzel bagels with cream cheese, tortilla turkey roll ups, and organic milk boxes! Wisconsin is good for their milk and cheese – it’s true! Also organic apple juice boxes! A wonderful break from lemonade, sodas, ICEES, and milk shakes all loaded with sugar! Sitting behind the dugout allowed us a close up view of the field, players and the action of the game! Miller Park fans were friendly! Good ole Wisconsin. We had a positive experience! And if the truth be told we went twice. June 29th AND June 30th, Brewers were playing the Dodgers and it was a beautiful sunny day and we were in town and we hadn’t had enough baseball games so we went twice! But don’t tell anyone……ha ha ha!Christie
